A beautiful new build family home built on property that was passed down from a family member. We mixed contemporary elements such as concrete panel walls with lots of texture, simplicity and high contrast for an elevated yet cozy feel that this family can be at home in.

With this project it wasn’t just “His & Hers” sinks that needed to be considered, but a division of tastes. In order to meld both his contemporary and her traditional tastes, the expertise of Purity Designs was needed and we were able to create their forever family home without comprising each partner’s personal tastes.

As a new multi-residential development w had to select furniture pieces to be appealing to a wide range of buyers and style with this in mind as well. We created spaces that many different personal styles and tastes could walk through and envision their lives unfolding.

Tired of their brown walls and dark furniture we worked with these clients to update their home and create a new relaxed and bright feel. We lightened up each space and created a neutral palette to then add pops of colour in the furniture and accessories to liven up each space.

In order to stay in the home they once loved these clients needed a change to love it again. With fresh coastal vibes in mind we set about renovating the home from top to bottom, adding interest with custom applied moulding, hidden doors and new furniture and accessories to create a new perspective.

Although small in scale, we managed this project from obtaining permits and organizing the trades to the actual design, purchasing. install and final styling of this basement renovation to create a welcoming space for the family to relax and enjoy.

A personal project near and dear to the creator of Purity Designs and where you could say it all began as this was her family home and the first home she designed. She wanted a home for her young family to grow and enjoy that ended up being the spark for the future and a beautiful spread in Style at Home magazine.
